Frequently Asked Questions
How do I reserve a puppy?
To reserve a puppy here at Tn Blessings you will need to fill out our puppy application. After it is viewed and approved, we will schedule a short phone conversation. in this phone call we go over the application and tell you more about each puppy. After the phone conversation you will be given the option to put down a $300 nonrefundable deposit to be put on our list. We the breeders reserve the right to deny an applicant if we feel like the puppy would not be a good fit for your family.
How will I get to select my puppy?
The order of when your deposit is received determines the order of picking out your puppy. For example, if your deposit was the 3rd to be received then you will get 3rd pick. After the person in front of you in the pick list picks out their puppy you will get the option to pick him/her in person or over the phone.
Puppy pick up?
Your puppy's go home date is at 8 weeks, and you pick out and take home your puppy in the same day. You get to pick out your puppy after the person in front of you picks out theirs. After they have picked out their puppy, you will get the option to pick him/her in person or over the phone. We prefer you to come in person to pick up your puppy yourself. If you are unable to pick them up, we can recommend some great flight nannies or a ground transporter.
What will my puppy come home with?
Your puppy will go home with being raised in our home from day one with ENS and ESI. He/she will be working on crate training and potty training. They will have been seen by our license veterinarian two times. Our vet will give them a thorough examination and given their first and second rounds of vaccinations. We deworm them 4 times also. Your sweet puppy will go home with a go home bag. In this bag it will be filled with puppy food they are on, blanket with scent of littermates, stuffed toy, rope toy, vet records, a copy of our new puppy guide, and recommendations for local and online dog training.
Nutrition
We recommend that you keep your Golden Retriever or Goldendoodle on a Lamb and Rice formula. If you either don't want to do the Lamb or for some other reason, we suggest doing salmon. Golden Retrievers can have sensitive skin and allergies. We have found out that these are the best for them. After switching our dogs to Lamb and Rice we haven't have any skin issues and their allergies are much better. We do NOT feed our dogs anything that is grain free. Grain free dog food has been linked to dogs having heart issues. Especially big dogs.
Pricing
Our Golden retrievers and Goldendoodles range from $1,600-2,000. Your $300 deposit that reserved you a puppy goes toward the price. We accept Venmo and PayPal for your deposit. If you are picking your puppy up in person, cash in preferred.
Do you follow a puppy curriclum?
We implement both Puppy Culture and Badass Breeder. Our puppies are raised in our house from day one. We touch and handle them daily. We desensitize them for everything from household noise to children. We work with these puppies so that when they go to their forever homes, they will have the most success.
